Born in Cairo, Sara moved to Germany in 2012 to pursue her PhD — stepping into a culture that tested everything she believed about herself.
As an Egyptian expat navigating Germany's demanding academic system, she faced not just scientific challenges but the deeper human ones: identity, belonging, self-worth, resilience. She did not just survive it.
She published first-author in Nature, won the Richtzenhain Prize, and led research that secured $2.7 million from the NIH — competing against German institutions.
During her PhD, she got coached. That changed everything.
She realised the same principles that transformed her performance — rooted in neuroscience, identity work, and proactive decision-making — could transform organisations.
In 2021, amidst the pandemic, she founded GenX Leadership Academy in Berlin. She grew it 200% with no prior entrepreneurial experience, applying the same frameworks she now teaches.
